Bengaluru-based Wonderla theme park has launched Mission Interstellar, India's largest space-themed experience, a new standard in interactive entertainment. Designed at a cost of ₹35 crore, this state-of-the-art ride features an enormous 22m x 15m curved LED screen in a 3,500 sq. ft. spaceship-shaped building. The passengers experience a virtual space ride with synchronized hydraulic seating, laser projections, wind effects, and a 46,000-watt sound system.
The ride is accommodated in an eight-storey high dome building with a 23-meter high ceiling and is accompanied by a large 6,500 sq. ft. air-conditioned waiting lounge for the convenience of visitors. The ride was conceptualized in collaboration with theme park experts from around the world and constructed to international safety standards by Wonderla's in-house engineering team.
Arun K. Chittilappilly, MD & Executive Chairman, Wonderla Holidays Ltd., called Mission Interstellar a "leap in immersive entertainment" that fits Wonderla's charter for innovation with its 25th anniversary looming on the horizon. The revolutionary addition positions Wonderla as a leader in amusement park activities with over 43 million visitors so far.
