The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has allotted a 20,000 sq. m. plot in Sector 8D to Neenjas Electric for setting up a new EV manufacturing unit. The facility will produce on-board EV chargers and solar power banks, strengthening India’s domestic supply chain for advanced power electronics and renewable energy storage.
EV and Renewable Ecosystem
In a significant step toward expanding India’s electric mobility infrastructure, YEIDA has issued a Letter of Intent (LoI) to Neenjas Electric for establishing a new EV manufacturing facility in Sector 8D, Greater Noida. Strategically located near the upcoming Noida International Airport, the unit will be part of a growing EV cluster designed to attract investment and innovation.
The facility will focus on manufacturing on-board EV chargers and solar power banks, critical components for strengthening India’s domestic supply chain in high-capacity power electronics and renewable energy storage systems. Officials highlighted that this move aligns with the Make in India initiative, supporting both clean energy adoption and industrial growth.
YEIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh handed over the LoI to Neenjas Electric’s Managing Director Vineet Gupta, marking another milestone in the region’s transformation into a hub for advanced EV technologies.
