Zomato has injected a whopping ₹1,500 crore into its quick commerce subsidiary Blinkit, as revealed in recent regulatory filings. This substantial investment, coming just a month after a ₹500 crore infusion, brings Zomato's total funding in Blinkit to ₹4,300 crore since its acquisition in 2022. The cash boost aims to support Blinkit's aggressive expansion plans, including the goal of operating 2,000 dark stores by December 2025. Despite reporting operational losses of ₹103 crore in Q3 FY25, Blinkit continues to prioritize growth in the fiercely competitive quick commerce sector, facing off against rivals like Swiggy's Instamart and Zepto.
