Zydus Lifesciences has gotten the green light from the USFDA to sell its version of Ketoconazole Shampoo, a generic form of Nizoral®, which contains 2% of the active ingredient. This shampoo fights off fungal infections that cause problems like dandruff and a skin condition known as seborrheic dermatitis. This approval is a big win for Zydus, helping them grow in the U.S., where this type of shampoo brings in about $69.2 million each year. Made in their factory in Ahmedabad, this achievement shows Zydus is serious about becoming a bigger player worldwide in treating skin problems.
