Aerial Pod System ('Flying Buses'):

The government is seriously considering the feasibility of introducing an aerial pod transport system in Bengaluru after a similar initiative between Manesar and Dhaula Kuan in the National Capital Region.
These pods would travel on top of current roads, providing a smooth, traffic-free ride.

Innovative Electric Buses:

A new executive class, 135-seater electric bus has been inaugurated in Nagpur with individual TVs and a top speed of 120 kmph.
The bus has quick flash-charging: a 30-second stop every 40 km for rapid charging and passenger pickup.
The Delhi-NCR electric bus network will be extended to intercity routes such as Delhi-Jaipur, Delhi-Dehradun, and Bengaluru-Chennai, with the promise of quicker, cleaner, and more comfortable travel.

Multi-Layered Infrastructure:

Gadkari proposed multi-level flyovers, tunnel roads, and skybus systems for Bengaluru, citing the global trends and the need to make best use of urban space.
Skybus system, similar to metro but over roads, is also in the pipeline for Bengaluru and Varanasi, with international consultants preparing the feasibility reports.
Give Priority to Public Transport and Safety:

Vision for the Future

Gadkari has stated that India's highways will be as good as America in a decade, with transport infrastructure and roads cutting travel times between cities by a factor of ten. We are planning to introduce a pod system in the air from Dhaula Kuan to Manesar since there is a lot of traffic on the road. We are conducting the same study in Bengaluru," Gadkari said, hinting towards a revolutionary era for the city's commuters.
