NTPC Incorporates Wholly Owned Subsidiary for Nuclear Energy Business

On 7 January 2025, NTPC Limited announced that it had formed a wholly-owned subsidiary, NTPC Urja Nigam Limited, which would further strengthen its nuclear power business. NTPC, with this decision, is fulfilling its commitment towards diversifying the energy mix of the country and helping India in achieving its clean energy goals. The new company will look to develop nuclear power generation opportunities in various locations across the country for new plants.
