Huge Investment, Sustained Returns:

Prosus has invested $8.6 billion in India, becoming one of the country's largest foreign supporters of the tech ecosystem. The company is seeing "very good" returns, with significant successes by portfolio entities such as Swiggy, which listed in 2024, and Rapido, which now registers over 3 million rides per day and increases its growth by 100% year-on-year.

Portfolio Powerhouses:

Prosus India holdings consist of Swiggy, Meesho, PayU, Urban Company, PharmEasy, BlueStone, and Rapido. The IPO of Swiggy alone had Prosus sell a 5% stake for well over $500 million, retrieving over half of its overall investment in the food ordering behemoth while still holding onto a 25% stake now worth $2.2 billion.

IPO Pipeline and Growth Bets

Prosus is optimistic regarding future IPOs of BlueStone and Urban Company, while Meesho also sets up a public launch. Such developments show the faith that Prosus places on India's future consumer internet leaders.

Performance beyond Expectation:

Prosus' e-commerce segment outpaced internal guidance with adjusted EBIT higher than $435 million in FY25. Another of the core assets, OLX, saw revenue jump almost 20% and grew profits more than 50%.

Bloisi underlined India's role in Prosus' vision of creating a best-in-class lifestyle e-commerce ecosystem in India, Europe, and Latin America and noted sustained enthusiasm for AI-fuelled innovation and emerging new digital business models.
