Orient Green Power Expands Renewable Portfolio with 7 MW Solar Project

Orient Green Power Company has signed an engineering, procurement, and construction contract for a 7 MW solar project, marking a significant step in its renewable energy expansion. The estimated development cost for the project stands at 400 million rupees, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions.  

Project Overview  

- The solar project will be developed in Tiruttani Taluk, Tamil Nadu, under the company’s subsidiary, Delta Renewable Energy Private Limited  
- The EPC contract has been awarded to Remon Solutions, ensuring timely execution and adherence to quality standards  
- The project will operate with a 7 MW AC capacity, translating to 9.80 MW DC output, optimizing energy generation efficiency  

Strategic Importance and Industry Impact  

The initiative aligns with Orient Green Power’s broader vision of achieving a 1 GW renewable energy portfolio, integrating wind and solar hybrid models. The company’s expansion into solar energy complements its existing wind power assets, strengthening its position in India’s clean energy sector.
