PALFINGER’s 2025 Ambitions: Can the Lifting Giant Top Its Own Success?

PALFINGER AG has published ambitious 2025 plans with the target that it will be the second strongest financial year in the history of the company. Revenue for the first quarter was EUR 552.5 million, operating result (EBIT) EUR 40.1 million, and consolidated net result EUR 22.0 million. Though revenue and earnings declined as expected from the previous year, the management is hopeful, citing a strong recovery in order intake, particularly in European core markets.

 

PALFINGER is showing positive momentum across the world, with strong growth in Latin America and ongoing expansion in the Asia-Pacific region, including a significant investment in a new assembly factory in India. The marine segment continues to do well, driven by offshore crane demand and a healthy service business. Although there has been subdued demand in North America due to continued US tariff uncertainty, financial stability at the company has strengthened, with lower net debt and higher equity.

 

CEO Andreas Klauser was optimistic about a favorable earnings trend in the second half of 2025, underpinned by PALFINGER's strategic emphasis on sustainability and innovation. The outlook for the company is good as it aims for further growth and operational excellence.
