Anticipating a sharp increase in passenger traffic, the Jammu Division of Northern Railway has decided to extend the operational period of the reserved special train running between New Delhi and Katra.

The train, which operates under special service numbers, connects the national capital directly to the pilgrimage hub of Katra. This route is one of the busiest during religious festivals, particularly during Navratri, when devotees undertake the sacred journey to seek blessings at the Vaishno Devi temple.
