Plugging into Progress: TCS eMobility Study Reveals Industry's Innovative Roadmap

The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) had done a study regarding the background of EVs. In its Future-Ready eMobility Study 2025, results showed that 64% of customers are likely to turn to EVs for their next purchase, attributing their consideration to sustainability and operational cost factors. Nevertheless, the study has highlighted big gaps in charging infrastructure and battery technology. Interestingly, it also finds 90% of manufacturers believe that improvements in battery technology will significantly change the design and performance of EVs. In spite of this apprehension, the industry has shown resilience and adaptability, with manufacturers investing in innovation to drop the cost of vehicles and enhance battery technology. These findings further drive home the critical need for collaboration and technological advancements toward sustainable mobility in the future.
