PM Modi's Manufacturing Mandate: Turning India into a Global Production Hub

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called upon local manufacturers to make use of global collaborations and seize opportunities for increased global interest in economic cooperation with India. Addressing a post-Budget webinar, Modi stressed the government's determination to strengthen the MSME sector, citing its central role in economic development. He emphasized the need for reforms and self-reliance to reduce economic adversity, such as the effects of COVID-19. The Prime Minister also highlighted the government's emphasis on reforms, financial prudence, transparency, and broad-based growth in order to ensure economic momentum. Modi again reemphasized India's growth as a world manufacturing hub with references to improved semiconductor production and aircraft carrier building.
