In a strategic push to energize employment in North Bengal’s tea industry, the Prime Minister Viksit Rojgar Yojana (PMVRY) will be rolled out from August 1, 2025. With a massive outlay of Rs 99,446 crore, the scheme aims to generate over 3.5 crore jobs nationwide, with special attention to tea plantations, bidi industries, and regional manufacturing hubs.
