PMC Launches Comprehensive Structural Audit of Pune's Bridges

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has commenced a structural audit of 672 bridges, including 434 over various nullahs, to assess their safety before the monsoon season. This six-month initiative, with a budget allocation of ₹10 crore, aims to identify and address structural weaknesses, ensuring public safety. The audit follows previous assessments that highlighted the need for repairs on several river bridges, some of which were delayed due to funding constraints. PMC's proactive approach underscores its commitment to maintaining the city's infrastructure and preventing potential hazards.
