Polyplex USA Commences Commercial Production, Becomes Largest BOPET Film Producer in US

Polyplex Corporation Limited has announced that its wholly-owned US subsidiary, Polyplex USA, has begun commercial production at its expanded facility in Decatur, Alabama. The company has successfully commissioned a new brownfield BOPET thin film line with a capacity of 50,000 MTPA, increasing its total US capacity to 81,000 MTPA. Additionally, the existing PET resin plant's capacity has been debottlenecked from 58,000 MTPA to 86,000 MTPA. With a total investment of $124 million, Polyplex USA has now become the largest and most cost-competitive producer of BOPET thin films in the United States, solidifying its leadership position in the market.
