Powering Up Sustainability: Apple Launches Clean Energy Fund in China!

Apple has invested a staggering amount of money in China's renewable energy sector with a fresh clean energy fund of 720 million yuan ($99 million). This follows Apple's bold plan to use 100% renewable energy for its entire supply chain by the year 2030. The fund, to be managed by Schroders, will add approximately 550,000 megawatt-hours of solar and wind capacity annually to China's power grid. This action follows the success of the initial China Clean Energy Fund which started in 2018, and it has outperformed its objectives by developing over 1 gigawatt of clean energy projects in 14 provinces. Apple's investment further solidifies its support for reducing its carbon footprint as well as encouraging sustainable manufacturing practices globally.
