Prabhas Steps Back, Bachchan Steps Up: Kalki 2's Unexpected Power Shift

A turn of fate is that Amitabh Bachchan will star in the highly anticipated sequel, Kalki 2. The veteran actor will start shooting in May 2025, with shoots going on till mid-June. Bachchan's Ashwatthama will undoubtedly have an even larger role, which would overshadow Prabhas' role. The sequel will explore the Bhairava/Karna and Ashwatthama angle deeper, introducing new facets such as the Flux Lands and the Nomens tribe. Fans can also expect action sequences featuring Bachchan, Prabhas, and Kamal Haasan's Supreme Commander Yaskin. With the change in focus, Kalki 2 will be a grander extravaganza than its predecessor.
