Kohima, the capital city of Nagaland, still grapples with severe water shortages, compelling several residents to turn to private water suppliers. Despite government efforts, including a recent water supply project commissioned in 2021, the city's water needs remain unmet. The failure of projects like pumping water from the Dzuu River has left citizens bearing the financial burden of purchasing water. This situation highlights the ongoing challenges in providing adequate water supply to the capital, affecting the quality of life and economic well-being of its residents.
