Punjab Farmers Reap Massive Profits with Super Seeder Technology

 

In a groundbreaking development, 1,000 farmers in Punjab have collectively earned Rs 5.79 billion using super seeder technology for wheat cultivation. This innovative approach to crop management has not only boosted farmers' incomes but also addressed the persistent issue of stubble burning. The super seeder, which incorporates paddy residue into the soil while simultaneously sowing wheat seeds, has gained significant popularity among farmers. Its cost-effectiveness and ability to manage crop residue efficiently have made it a preferred choice, with 42% of all crop residue management machines procured in Punjab since 2018 being super-seeders.
