Punjabi Beats Meet Hollywood: Rihanna's Smurfs Film Features Groundbreaking Indian Collaboration

Indian singers Subhi and Natania have teamed up with DJ Khaled and Cardi B to record "Higher Love," the lead single from the coming Smurfs film. This is the first-ever Punjabi Indian song in a major Western animated feature. The track seems to be produced by DESI TRILL and features a South-Asian musical feel, bordering on contemporary worldwide sounds; it actually showcases Natania's English vocals combined with Subhi's all-Punjabi hook. The song coincides with the launching of the trailer, featuring Rihanna's voice as Smurfette.
