Sanju Samson has etched his name in Rajasthan Royals' history, surpassing Shane Warne to become the franchise's most successful captain. Leading his team to a commanding 50-run victory over Punjab Kings in IPL 2025, Samson secured his 32nd win as skipper, overtaking Warne's record of 31 wins.

 

Batting first at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Rajasthan Royals posted a formidable 205/4, powered by Yashasvi Jaiswal's 67 off 45 balls and Riyan Parag's unbeaten 43 off 25. Samson contributed a solid 38 off 26 deliveries, setting the stage for a dominant performance. In response, Punjab Kings struggled against Rajasthan's bowling attack, managing only 155/9 in 20 overs. Jofra Archer led the charge with a stellar 3/25, dismantling Punjab's top order early.

 

Samson's leadership has reinvigorated Rajasthan Royals, positioning them as strong contenders this season. His captaincy record now stands at 32 wins in 62 matches, cementing his legacy as the franchise's most prolific leader.
