Rubber Prices Skyrocket: Is Your Next Tyre Change About to Cost You More?

Rubber prices in Asia continue to show strength, with Thai RSS3 trading at 79.36 baht/kg and Thai STR20 at 73.36 baht/kg. This trend aligns with the recent surge in rubber futures, which reached an all-time high of 815 US cents/kg in February 2025. The market remains bullish due to supply concerns in Thailand, where heavy rainfall has delayed harvests ahead of the "wintering" season. Additionally, resilient demand in the Chinese automobile market is contributing to a brighter demand outlook. However, the recent EU delay in deforestation regulation implementation has caused some price volatility in the Asian rubber market.
