RVNL Joint Venture Secures Major 5.54 Billion Rupee Railway Electrification Project

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL), in partnership with URC, has clinched a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for a ₹5.54 billion railway electrification project from South Western Railway. The contract, excluding GST, involves survey, design, supply, installation, and commissioning of Kavach systems across 790 route kilometers in Karnataka’s Hubballi and Mysuru divisions. This marks RVNL’s third major win this month, reinforcing its dominance in India’s rail infrastructure sector. Shares of the Navratna PSU surged 6% intraday, reflecting investor optimism. The project, slated for completion in 30 months, will enhance rail safety and operational efficiency on high-density corridors.
