The company has received an amended Consent To Operate, allowing it to increase capacity from 58,000 MTPA to 1,16,000 MTPA, alongside consent to establish a new cold rolling mill project at Kuthrel Unit-II. Sambhv Steel Tubes, a growing player in the steel tubes and cold rolled products space, informed the exchanges that the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board has approved the brownfield capacity expansion for its existing Kuthrel Unit. The approval, issued under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, aligns with an earlier capacity expansion roadmap shared with investors in December 2025.

The amended Consent To Operate enhances the approved cold rolling mill capacity at the Kuthrel Unit from 58,000 MTPA to 1,16,000 MTPA, effectively doubling output potential from the existing brownfield project. In parallel, the company has also obtained consent to establish an additional cold rolling mill at Kuthrel Unit-II, enabling a phased scale-up of high-quality cold rolled steel production. Management noted that the disclosure was filed after completion of internal discussions and procedural formalities but remains squarely within the framework of previously approved expansion plans.
