Samson Strikes Back: Fit and Fired Up for Punjab Clash

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has passed his fitness test and is ready to return to action for the Pakistan vs Punjab Kings IPL 2025 game on May 18 at Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Samson, who was out for over a month due to a side strain, last played on April 16 and has been frustrated to watch his side struggle on the field. His return is a big morale-booster for RR, who are out of contention for the playoffs but want to finish the season on a high note. Samson will play in the middle order, acting as a backup to in-form openers Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal. But RR will miss star pacer Jofra Archer due to a thumb injury. The match promises to be an intriguing contest, especially between Samson and Punjab spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, whom he has got bowled out five times in the IPL.
