School's Out: Holi Splash, Eid Feast Mark March 2025 Holiday Bonanza

All the schools across the country will witness a festive recess in March 2025 as they close during Holi on March 14, Eid-ul-Fitr (March 31*), and local festivities like Holika Dahan on March 13, and Ugadi/Gudi Padwa on March 30. Government offices and banks in places such as Uttar Pradesh will be closed for two days (March 13-14) due to Holi celebrations. Moon sightings keep Eid-ul-Fitr dates pending but are likely to provide a gazetted holiday. Parents and students are requested to verify state-specific calendars since holidays are region-specific.
