Shape the Electoral Future: Parliamentary Panel Launches Website for 'Simultaneous Polls' Suggestions

A parliamentary committee looking into 'one nation, one election' bills is to start a website to collect people's ideas on holding simultaneous polls. The move, announced by BJP MP P P Chaudhary, will provide transparency and mass participation for the current debate. The panel, which has recently heard opinions from former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and former Delhi High Court Chief Justice Rajendra Menon, will also put out advertisements calling for memoranda from all over the country. This comes after the Union Cabinet approved the Kovind panel's suggestions on holding simultaneous polls for Lok Sabha, state assemblies, and local bodies in September 2024.
