Shaping a New Future: Women Set to Recast the Manufacturing Industry

Large manufacturing firms that have historically been dominated by men, such as Mahindra Group, Tata Steel, and L&T, are actively seeking to increase the number of women in their workforces. Recognising the advantages of gender diversity in promoting creativity and productivity, these initiatives seek to create a more diverse and inclusive workforce. With organisations like JSW Steel striving for substantial female representation in new facilities, the number of women working in India's manufacturing sector is increasing. Low labour force participation rates and few prospects for promotion are among the ongoing issues, though. Companies are putting policies in place to help women in the workforce, like career development programs and training courses, to address these problems.
