Singapore's Tourism Industry Set to Soar: Record Visitor Numbers Expected in 2025

As of now, the scenario dictates that 2025 will witness immense growth of the tourism industry in Singapore. With the World Travel & Tourism Council projecting 16 million international arrivals, the targeted level represents a 9.6% increase beyond the pre-pandemic level. The tourist growth, mainly represented by arrivals from India and China, is expected at 1.25 million and 2.8 million, respectively. The Singapore Tourism Board, in fact, suggests an even higher forecast with between 17 and 18.5 million visitors by 2025. Such expansions will, to a large extent, be a result of the innovative offerings of Singapore's attractions, a strong connectivity framework, and a wide variety of experiences. The tourism sector is expected to contribute almost $80 billion by the end of this decade and create over 637,000 jobs.
