Smarter Machines Ahead: Dell Foresees AI in Almost Every PC by 2028

The international PC market is poised on the verge of a revolutionary revolution, with Dell Technologies predicting that 98% of every PC will be AI-powered by 2028. Indrajit Belgundi, General Manager and Senior Director at Dell Technologies India, made this ambitious forecast at the launch of Dell's latest AI PC series in New Delhi today.

These AI PCs will incorporate advanced neural processing units (NPUs) optimized to perform AI workloads effectively, optimizing speed, security, and energy efficiency. Belgundi underscored that these breakthroughs will rewire productivity, creativity, and collaboration across businesses and generations. "AI is coming to the Edge," he added, emphasizing the increasing prominence of AI-based devices in both personal and work-related workflows.

Dell's move is in response to the burgeoning need for edge computing solutions wherein AI capabilities are fast becoming as essential as WiFi. Dell's reimagined portfolio is designed to make AI deployment easy for both enterprises and individuals, with its modular designs and intuitive tools like the Dell Pro AI Studio. With billions of outdated PCs in need of replacement, Dell is positioning itself to take charge in the AI age.
