Startup Dreams to Concrete Reality: Maharashtra's Ambitious Innovation City Plan

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has drawn up plans for a 300-acre 'innovation city' in Navi Mumbai to propel the state's economic growth14. The project will create a startup complex and industry interface, based on Gujarat's GIFT City3. Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran will make a presentation on the city's attributes1. Maharashtra is also developing a global capability centre park in Navi Mumbai and is negotiating with potential investors14. The innovation city is Maharashtra's contribution to its technology push, along with AI projects and plans to increase power generation capacity to 75 GW by 2030.
