Steel Span Success: Bullet Train Bridge Launch Marks Gujarat Milestone

The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) confirmed the launch on December 9, 2025, near Kanthariya village. Standing 18 metres high and nearly 15 metres wide, the span weighs about 2,780 metric tonnes and was fabricated in Bhuj, Gujarat. Designed for a 100‑year service life, the bridge uses over 1.22 lakh high‑strength bolts and advanced protective coatings. Officials highlighted that the operation was completed in a tightly coordinated 12‑hour window, minimizing disruption to road and rail traffic.
