Stormy Start: Rain Threatens IPL Opener

The highly anticipated IPL 2025 opener between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Eden Gardens faces a rain threat. Although the rain has temporarily stopped, forecasts suggest it may return later in the day. An orange alert has been issued by the IMD, warning of heavy rain and thunderstorms. The opening ceremony, featuring performances by Shah Rukh Khan, Disha Patani, Shreya Ghoshal, and Karan Aujla, is scheduled to start at 6 PM IST. Despite the weather concerns, Eden Gardens' advanced drainage system may help ensure a full match.
