Surrealism Meets India: Salvador Dalí's Masterpieces Enchant Delhi

The landmark exhibition "Dalí Comes to India" has captivated art enthusiasts in Delhi since its opening on February 7, 2025. Featuring over 200 original works by the legendary surrealist Salvador Dalí, the showcase offers a rare glimpse into the artist's imaginative world. Curated by Christine Argillet, daughter of Dalí's publisher Pierre Argillet, the exhibition includes etchings, watercolors, and tapestries from the prestigious Pierre Argillet Collection. Highlights include works from "The Hippies" series, inspired by India's spiritual allure, and iconic pieces from "Mythologie" and "Les Chants de Maldoror." The exhibition, which runs until March 16 at Massarrat Gallery, marks a historic cultural exchange, bringing Dalí's dreamlike visions to Indian audiences for the first time since 1967.
