Tata Electronics Takes the Lead: iPhone Production Jumps 180% to ₹40,000 Crore

Tata Electronics has successfully managed to increase iPhone production by a wholesome 180%. Its production now touched Rs 40,000 crore in 2024. This happened after the Wistron facility in Karnataka was acquired and it set up a new plant in Tamil Nadu, which made Tata one of the largest players in Apple's supply chain. With this expansion, Tata now commands 26% of India's iPhone production, which puts it at the helm of Apple's manufacturing push in the country. The growth is in tandem with India's push for local manufacturing and Apple's strategy to diversify from China.
