The decision follows a brief supply disruption caused by United Breweries over pricing and dues issues. The revised rates, based on recommendations from the pricing fixation committee led by retired justice Jaiswal, apply to all existing stock. This marks the first price increase since 2020, reflecting the state's evolving market dynamics.
