Tesla Powers Into India: First Pit Stop – Mumbai’s BKC, Next Destination – Delhi

Elon Musk's Tesla has sealed a deal for its maiden Indian showroom in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai, paving the way for its much-awaited entry into the Indian electric vehicle market. The 4,000 sq ft facility, leased at an approximated monthly rent of Rs 35 lakh, will display Tesla's automobile models. The second showroom will be set up at Delhi's Aerocity complex. This follows after CEO Elon Musk recently met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tesla posting 13 job advertisements in India. The company has announced that it will start operations in a few months, starting with selling imported EVs. The decision marks Tesla's renewed effort to establish itself in the world's third-largest automobile market.
