Texas Awards SpaceX $17.3 Million Grant for Starlink Expansion

Texas has granted SpaceX $17.3 million to expand its Starlink manufacturing facility in Bastrop. The funding, from the Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund, supports a significant expansion that will increase the facility's size by 1 million square feet over three years. This project is expected to create over 400 jobs and result in more than $280 million in capital investment. The expanded facility will become North America's largest printed circuit board and panel-level packaging factory, enhancing SpaceX's ability to produce Starlink kits and connect more people worldwide with high-speed internet.
