The Big Sweep: 'Laapataa Ladies' Dominates IIFA Awards with 10 Wins

Kiran Rao's award-winning movie "Laapataa Ladies" swept the 25th IIFA Awards, bagging 10 prominent awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. Nitanshi Goel won the Best Actress award for her performance as Phool. The movie, India's official submission for the Oscars, also took home Best Story, Screenplay, and Editing. Some other popular winners included Kartik Aaryan as Best Actor for "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3" and Rakesh Roshan as he took home the Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema award. Indian cinema's success was being feted during the event through the performance of Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
