Darbari Seth, a key player in Tata Tea's success story, left an irreversible imprint on the Indian corporate scene. Being a close friend of JRD Tata, Seth turned Tata Tea from a plantation business to a consumer-driven brand giant. His marketing brilliance introduced packaged tea in India, transforming the business. Seth's impact spanned 14 Tata businesses, indicating his adaptive leadership. Nevertheless, his latter days were filled with tension in his relationship with Ratan Tata. Nonetheless, Seth's work lives on at TERI, the research foundation that he fostered until his death.
