Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, has delivered blockbusters that redefined Indian cinema, from Lagaan to Dangal. Yet, hidden in his filmography lies a colossal project that vanished without a trace: Time Machine. This unreleased gem, helmed by visionary director Shekhar Kapur, promised to pioneer sci-fi in Hindi films during the 1990s. Shooting began with sky-high expectations, pouring crores into sets, effects, and a dream cast. But fate had other plans, halting production at 75% and leaving fans wondering about the what-ifs.

 

The story centered on an orphan, portrayed by Aamir in his youthful charm, who invents or stumbles upon a time machine crafted by a brilliant scientist played by the legendary Vijay Anand. Desperate to connect with his roots, the protagonist journeys back to witness his parents' first meeting, blending emotional depth with thrilling temporal twists. The ensemble was a powerhouse: Raveena Tandon as the love interest, Rekha adding grace, Naseeruddin Shah's gravitas, and Gulshan Grover's intensity. Laxmikant-Pyarelal composed the score, fusing nostalgic melodies with futuristic vibes.
