Turkish Ambassador Firat Sunel Joins Bestselling Author Durjoy Datta at The White Owl Lit Fest 2025

Nagaland’s The White Owl Lit Fest returns for its second edition from February 17–19, 2025, with Turkish Ambassador Firat Sunel and acclaimed novelist Durjoy Datta headlining the event. Hosted at Zone Niathu by the Park in Chümoukedima, the festival will explore themes of indigeneity, cross-border cultures, and storytelling’s role in diplomacy. Ambassador Sunel, a novelist-diplomat renowned for his work at the Shillong Literary Festival, will share insights on cultural preservation. Datta, author of 21 bestselling novels, will engage readers in interactive sessions. Organized with Penguin Random House India and Cambridge University Press, the event promises workshops, live music, and vibrant literary discourse.
