Uninvited Guest: Leopard Gatecrashes Lucknow Wedding, Locks Down Celebrations

A wedding in Lucknow's Para area took a dramatic turn last night when a leopard gatecrashed the celebration at MM Lawn on Buddheshwar Ring Road. The unexpected guest sent hundreds of guests into panic, forcing the bride and groom to seek refuge in their car for hours. During the 200-minute rescue operation, a forest official was injured while attempting to capture the animal. The leopard, a healthy male weighing 80-90 kg, was eventually tranquilized and safely captured by a team from the Lucknow Forest Department, assisted by veterinary doctors from Kanpur. The incident highlights the increasing human-wildlife conflict in urban areas.
