As part of a forward-looking trend towards education equality and empowerment, government-sponsored and state-funded free coaching schemes for competitive tests have begun officially in various parts of India. The schemes are designed to offer quality coaching to economically weaker and deserving sections of students for competitive examinations such as UPSC, SSC, JEE, NEET, banking, and services under the states. With emphasis on equality of access, the scheme is being hailed as a revolutionary measure for hopefuls from economically weaker and marginalized segments.
Launch and Objective

Most of the programs are available to graduates or higher secondary pass-outs from weaker sections.
-
Some schemes have a yearly family income limit (e.g., ₹8 lakh) for eligibility.
Implementation Agencies
-
They are administered by state governments, public establishments such as Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, and local education departments.
-
Collaborations with respected coaching institutes are being made in order to boost training standards.
Student Benefits

Free access to expert faculty, mock tests, and counseling.
-
Exposure to digital learning tools, current affairs materials, and one-on-one mentorship.
-
Heavy emphasis on time management, interview skills, and group discussions.
