UP’s Eco-Tourism Push: Global Delegates Set to Explore the Wild Heart of India

Uttar Pradesh is laying the green carpet to welcome the world as it is embarking on a high-octane international familiarisation tour (Fam Trip) between April 22 and 30, which promises to catapult the state on to the world map of eco-tourism. The initiative by the UP Eco-Tourism Development Board will see travel trade professionals and UK, US, German, Australian, and Indian media personnel going on a tailor-made journey of the state's most awe-inspiring natural and cultural spots.

The schedule begins in Agra with a trip to Bateshwar and an adrenaline-pumping Chambal Safari, followed by a journey to Kannauj for a workshop on perfume-making. Delegates will then dive into the wilderness of Dudhwa National Park, Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, and Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary. The journey also holds out the promise of experiencing Lucknow's renowned heritage, chikankari embroidery, and local food, followed by spiritual and artistic sojourn in Prayagraj and a finale in Varanasi, with the historic Ganga Aarti and local art centers.

Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh was confident that the experience and international reach of the delegates would highlight UP's vast eco-tourism potential, generating sustainable travel and global visitor interest.
