Venkatesh Iyer’s Blazing Knock Propels KKR to 200 Against Sunrisers Hyderabad

In a high-octane T20 clash, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) posted a strong total of 200/6 in their 20 overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The innings was powered by a scintillating knock from Venkatesh Iyer, who smashed 60 off just 29 balls, including seven fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 206.90. He was well-supported by Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who played a crucial 50 off 32 balls, keeping the momentum alive in the middle overs.

Captain Ajinkya Rahane also chipped in with a quickfire 38 off 27 before falling to Zeeshan Ansari. Rinku Singh added valuable runs at the end, remaining unbeaten on 32 from 17 balls. The SRH bowlers had a tough day, with Mohammed Shami, Pat Cummins, and Harshal Patel each picking up a wicket but leaking runs at an expensive rate. Simarjeet Singh struggled the most, conceding 47 runs in his four overs.

With a challenging target of 201, SRH will need a strong batting performance to chase down KKR’s total. The spotlight will now be on their top order to see if they can overcome KKR’s bowling attack and secure a victory.
