Who Let the Bills Out? ₹50-Crore Dog Claim Puts Investigators on the Paw-th

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the residence of Bengaluru's S Satish after his viral claim of purchasing a ₹50-crore "wolfdog" hybrid had raised suspicion of foreign exchange irregularities. Satish, president of the Indian Dog Breeders Association, had said that he had imported the exotic Caucasian Shepherd-wolf hybrid Cadabomb Okami for $5.7 million. However, ED investigation discovered that the dog belonged to a neighbor, was valued at under ₹1 lakh, and Satish lacked financial records or import documents. Officials confirmed the story as a publicity stunt, and there was no FEMA violation. Satish later admitted to being photographed with the dog to attract attention on social media. The breeder, who is notorious for keeping exotic canines, said his postings were intended to highlight rare breeds but were questioned for purported hawala route implications, which are still unproven.
