Wipro Appoints Madhu Menon as Global Head of Talent Acquisition, Embraces "Train Then Hire" Strategy Amid IT Sector Recovery

Wipro is making significant strides in its hiring strategy, as it anticipates a recovery in the IT sector, focusing on enhancing employee utilization and reducing attrition rates. Additionally, the company has adopted a "train then hire" approach, collaborating with tech giants like Microsoft and AWS to ensure candidates are well-prepared before onboarding. 

In keeping with this strategy, Madhu Menon has been appointed as the Global Head and Vice President of Talent Acquisition at Wipro, a leading Indian tech company with a market cap of Rs 330,000 crore. Holding an MBA in Human Resource Management from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, Menon previously served as Director and National Head of Talent Acquisition at Deloitte India. Her career also includes roles at KPMG India, UNISAFE Fire Protection Specialist LLC, and Ernst & Young. In her new role at Wipro, she aims to enhance recruitment efficiency and align talent strategies with business objectives. Menon expressed her excitement about this new position in a LinkedIn post on February 4, 2025.
