Wipro Invests $200 Million in Wipro Ventures for Strategic Ventures

Wipro Limited has made a major commitment of $200 million to its strategic investment unit, Wipro Ventures. The decision comes on the heels of the success of Wipro Ventures' earlier funds, such as the $150 million Fund II raised in 2020. The new funding will continue Wipro's investment strategy of supporting early to mid-stage enterprise software startups in categories like cybersecurity, application development, analytics, cloud infrastructure, and AI. This investment solidifies Wipro's focus on promoting innovation, deepening its service capabilities, and forging strategic relationships with new age technology firms. The fund is anticipated to leverage Wipro Ventures' history of successful investments in 16 startups in the US, Israel, and India.
