Sam Altman's World Network has introduced World Chat, a fresh Mini App that enables users to connect to verified humans alongside secure messaging and crypto payment support. The application was launched in Beta version on March 7, 2025, by integrating the World ID protocol, World App wallet, and Contacts tab for an uninterrupted conversation experience. One of its best features is its verification process: chats with confirmed World ID account holders appear in blue chat bubbles and a distinctive gem, and are distinct from unverified users' gray bubbles. It also simplifies sending and receiving cryptocurrency as easy as sharing photos, making it more convenient for cross-border transactions. World Chat is a component of the growing Mini App ecosystem with over 100 apps that come under it currently.
